Three Guaranteed Steps To Healing - Mother's Day Special Offer!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers, grandmothers, mothers-to-be, and Happy May to everyone else!

Whether you're a mother or not, reassurance is always welcome, especially in turbulant times like the ones many are experiencing now. We can't be reminded too often of the basic laws of life so that our sense of safety and “being in the driver's seat” can remain undisturbed. Since many are lamenting the current sense of uncertainty, it might be helpful to review some of those basic laws of life. Laws that are operative under all circumstances. Namely – we, not others, create our experience in life. Many would respond that, of course, we are at the mercy of all kinds of outside influences. If we are to remain at peace, we need to revisit all we've been taught or inherently believe about causation.

  • Error #1 – Other people, and or, circumstances, over which we believe we have no control, create our experience whether we like it or not.
  • Error #2 – We must learn how to defend or protect ourselves against unwanted circumstances or conditions.
  • Error #3 – Our past experiences, decisions, interfere with current happiness and peace. The past powerfully influences the present experience.

If these beliefs are, indeed, in error, then what is the truth about the quality and success – or not – of our lives?

The greatest point of confusion is the notion we are all taught, and take for granted, that the circumstances and conditions of our lives just happen by some force or power not our own. If this were true, it would be foolish to expect or presume a happy, safe, and successful life. Happily, not a shred of this scenario is correct. In fact, what actually occurs is something for which we can be forever grateful. Nothing but our own chosen, and powerful, thoughts create our experience. You might have heard the phrase, “thoughts are things.” More precisely, the thoughts are experienced as the specific details of our daily lives. We write the script with our stream of thoughts, which then manifest as the specific details of our daily lives. At first, it's difficult to wrap our heads around the magnitude of this statement. However, as you look for the correlation between how and what you think about and the circumstances of your daily life, you can discern the exquisite connection. The oft heard comment, “Change your mind, change your life” should not be taken lightly or as a metaphor. It's a statement of unalterable fact. The focus of one's attention and desire, in real time, is experienced as the details of daily life. So look no longer outside yourself for the origin of circumstances, good or ill.

To guarantee a safe, productive, and enjoyable life, here are some helpful hints:

  1. Choose acceptance and kindness over judgment and attack, no matter how warranted you believe the latter to be.
  2. Prioritize being helpful in ways both large and small, known to others, or not.
  3. Follow your inner guidance, your intuition, what feels right, what uplifts or brings a sense of “yes.”

Then notice how swiftly and safely your own daily life unfolds.
